SWAN HILL – HEART OF THE MURRAY

There’s so much to do in Swan Hill, a modern city but still has the heart of a clean, green and friendly country town.

With our Mediterranean climate a walk along the mighty Murray River is a must. A newly constructed walkway along the banks of the river from the caravan park to the wetlands (see town map in reception). For the young and young at heart count the birds and animals nestled in the trees as you approach the wetlands.

A visit to the famous Pioneer Settlement is an experience, where history come alive via immaculately preserved building from a bygone era. Ride in an old car, enjoy a canter in a horse and cart ride, cruise the mighty Murray river on board the PS Pyap. At night, the star attraction is the multi-million dollar nightly show “HEARTBEAT OF THE MURRAY”, a laser light, fire and water spectacular.

The Jane Eliza Motor Inn is surrounded by excellent restaurants, cafes and clubs providing local food and wines for your enjoyment.

The Murray Downs Golf and Country Club provide a courtesy bus nightly pick up and return for guests. The club hosts a championship golf course for the golfing enthusiasts.
